Explosive remnants of war present a substantial risk that threatens children in border or conflict areas, therefore, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers continue to provide mine risk education in Sweida governorate to ensure children’s safety.
70 children learned through various games how to avoid the danger of explosive ordnance, besides the key safety messages:
Don’t approach .. Don’t touch .. Call 108.
In addition, school uniforms and bags containing stationery were distributed to the children, as well as educational brochures and souvenirs.
At the end of the day, the children added their colored handprints to the safety board, to emphasize the concepts of safety and security that the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross seeks to promote in all regions across Syria.
