Syria calls on Security Council and UN Secretariat to condemn Israeli attacks on Syrian territory

Syria called on the UN Security Council and UN Secretariat to condemn the Israeli attacks on the Syrian territory as a violation of sovereignty and a direct threat to regional and international peace and security, holding the occupation legal, moral, political and financial responsibilities for deliberately targeting the international airports of Damascus and Aleppo and for endangering civilian facilities and the lives of civilians.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a message addressed  to the UN Secretary-General and President of the Security Council “at approximately 20:00 p.m. yesterday, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, “Israel” launched an air aggression on Aleppo International Airport resulted in severe damage to its runway and causing it to be out of service and completely destroying the navigational station with its equipment.
