Christmas tree lit up at al-Aziziyeh Square in Aleppo
The largest Christmas tree was lit up at al-Aziziyeh Square in Aleppo city on Tuesday.
Aleppo Governor Hussein Diyab said that lighting Christmas tree is a message of amity and peace from the people of Aleppo to the whole world, a message of joy, sacrifices and new birth.
Governor Diyab added that the coincidence between the Christmas and the first anniversary of liberating Aleppo from terrorism proves that Syria will triumph over terrorism and those who support it thanks to the resilience and unity of its people, army and leadership.
Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party-Aleppo Branch Fadel Najjar said that Syria will remain a torch for all generations and a cradle embracing all holy religions, civilizations and history, and it will remain the land of love and peace.
