A statement about the Ministry of Health’s response to the emerging Corona Virus pandemic

With the escalation of the graph of the injuries recorded globally, regionally as well as locally, as it recorded 133 injuries since the beginning of this month, most of which are between contacts of confirmed cases coming from outside Syria.

The Health Ministry stresses the need to adhere to individual prevention measures today more than ever and warns against recklessness that threatens the spread of the largest infection.

The Ministry confirms that the coincidence of the return of economic and service activities to its usual work with the increase of local injuries means that continuing to lift restrictions and precautionary measures requires double community awareness and commitment to individual protection methods and avoiding crowding places, especially closed, so that everyone is safe.

The Ministry added that the negligence of preventive measures threatens a wider spread of coronavirus infection.
