President al-Assad issues a decree stipulating for new consumer protection law

President Bashar al-Assad issued on Monday Legislative Decree No.8 for 2021 that stipulated the new consumer protection law.

The low aims at protecting the rights of consumers, ensuring the safety of food, and preventing monopoly through setting regulations for trade practicing, pricing, and imposing censorship on the quality of materials and products with tightening penalties and fines for monopoly and selling without invoice, and not to announcing prices, and manipulating weights, as well as selling at increased prices or deceiving.
